I am feeling quite a bit better than I was 2 weeks ago. I had my first workout today; it wasn't difficult, but it was more for my brain than my body. I feel so much better today. The GOOD news is my back is apparently in pretty good shape, the disc is not as herniated as they once suggested. The pain is coming from the muscles; the multifidius and QL's to be exact! They're just working really hard to hold me upright. Anyway, pain is decreasing and my anxiety level is far less knowing there is not a major problem... just over-worked! I am beginning to think I can manage 7 more weeks for hip surgery!
The internet is an amazing thing as I have been contacted by other FAI patients and am hearing that everything I am experiencing is totally normal. Thank you to everyone who has reached out and lent their support! I truly appreciate it!

I hope that you continue to have better days. We are thinking of you often.

The best thing I can suggest is take it one day at a time. Even following my hip surgery my back aches constantly. The pain really distracts me from my task at hand, and that's to get my hip healthy. It's hard to do that with secondary pain. I believe our difference is that both of my hips are affected with FAI so I am trying to balance it all while keeping up with my 4 kids and work !
Your a beautiful, strong woman so I don't see you giving in to this at all. I have enjoyed reading your blog and can tell you will do great, you just need the right doctor and the right motivation. I am sending positive thoughts your way and really hope you stay in touch to let everyone know how this progresses for you.
